FAQ Questions about Escape Rooms:
What is an Escape Room?
An Escape Room is a group activity that places your team inside a themed game room. Your job is to discover clues, solve puzzles and open locks that will eventually lead to your escape! You have 60 minutes to complete the challenge.
Who goes to Escape Rooms?
Escape rooms are for all people who like having fun, who enjoy playing games and are looking for something new to do for fun. Whether you are a group of friends, family members, or coworkers, everyone will find something they enjoy.
Escape rooms are also excellent for team-building. Once the door closes, your group will be focused on the singular goal of working together and trying to escape.
Do you have to know a lot about the Bible?
No! That's the best part, you'll learn about the Bible during the escape experience! All you need to know is how to look up a verse in the Bible, and you'll be good to go!
How much does it cost?
We are charging $25.00 per team; when you pay & book your time it will be a ‘private booking’ for your group. Each group is allowed to have between 4-8 people. You can purchase addiotnal time up to 5 mins by bringing along a Foodbank donation. Each individual donation is worth 10 additional seconds.
Where does the Money go?
The $25 cost will be a donation to WCC's summer mission trip. In July 2019, a team of youth and adults from Weymouth Church of Christ will travel to St. George's, Newfoundland to host a VBS program at the new Mercy Christian Church, which was established in that community in 2018. A donation receipt can be issued upon request.
What happens if I need to leave the room?
You will be able to leave the room at anytime if you need to take a break to use the washroom or get some air. The only thing forbidden from taking a break is the clock, so use your time wisely and visit the washroom before you go in.
Are escape rooms child-friendly?
We believe it’s important to provide something for everyone. Although we would recommend this specific Escape room for those 13 years and older.
What if the puzzles are too hard?
Escape rooms are designed to be challenging, because it’s hard to have fun when things are too easy. There will be a variety of different types of puzzles, which use different skills and capacities. This means everyone will be able to contribute!
Ensuring you have a great experience is important to us - so if a puzzle too tough, your group will be able to request a hint from our friendly game-masters to help push you through to the next challenge.
Will I learn anything?
The Escape room is going to be Resurrection Themed and will cover in great details the events leading up to the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus. Our hope is that all who attend will experience the Easter story in a whole new way.
Should I bring anything with me?
No. Bibles will be in the rooms where they are needed. Players are asked to not use their cell phones for the game-play or take any pictures as this might ruin the escape room for other groups.
